Food Specification Tool

What is it?

The Food Specification Tool (FST) is a simple tool designed by Alphagraphics in partnership with People1st, making the lengthy process of pulling together food specifications (along with designing, printing and delivery) quicker, easier and cheaper.

The Problem

Piecing together Food Specifications has always been a tough task. It's an in depth process requiring time and attention - pulling together the recipes at the development stage, making copious notes, and then transcribing them into PowerPoint or Word ready for meeting with a printer at another date.

There's the long wait whilst art work is debated (even though you don't actually need to sell its design - Food Specs are purely a source of important operating information) and then, a week or so later, another meeting to discuss samples.

Eventually, three or more weeks have gone by before the final product can be distributed. It's a long, gruelling, drawn out process!

Welcome to the solution

FST has been designed to make Food Specs much simpler - and much more cost effective - saving brain power, time and money. The art work has been pre-developed and the system does the work for you. As you develop your recipe ideas you simply ‘click & drag' all the information - using your own choice of words or the available prescribed text - into laid out columns. Then all you need to do is insert the picture of the dish.

Once you are happy with what you have done, you simply save your file and send it, at the click of a button, to the Alphagraphics website. As FST has been developed by them, they are geared and ready to go straight into production - printing, binding and distribution can all be achieved within 7 days.

Research has also shown that using FST can be up to 46% cheaper than other known companies producing Food Specs for Pub & Restaurant Operators, making it the preferable solution to your Food Spec needs!
