British Ambassador to Panama presents certification to the instructors for Panama’s new state-of-the-art Instituto Técnico Superior Especializado (ITSE)
His Excellency the British Ambassador to Panama, Damion Potter, has presented 47 ITSE Instructors with certification for successfully completing a train-the-trainer programme to become approved instructors at Panama’s new specialist training institute.
An award ceremony took place yesterday (14 January 2019) at Salón Paz, Ministerio de la Presidencia in Panama to congratulate the 47 new specialist trainers for the Instituto Técnico Superior Especializado who have completed an intensive one week bespoke train the trainer programme.
The training, delivered by King’s Training Panama SA and its partnership, managed by People 1st International, has supported the instructors in utilising programme specific instructor guides and has prepared the instructors to develop programme work plans and produce engaging and effective lesson plans and high-quality student material. Instructors have also been given an overview on preparing their students for assessment and tracking learner progress.
The train-the trainer programme and instructor guides have been developed as part of a £2.1million contract awarded to King’s Training Panama SA and its partnership, managed by People 1st International, to develop curricula for 18 training programmes for Panama’s new state-of-the-art Instituto Técnico Superior Especializado (ITSE). The ITSE instructors will train up to 5,000 students a year, from various sectors, including logistics, business, electronics, construction, tourism and hospitality, among others.
