Stay on top of apprenticeship changes with our free-to-join network

The apprenticeship levy – introduced in April 2017 – presents employers with an opportunity to use apprenticeships to develop skills, improve staff retention and increase productivity, but there’s a lot to think about in preparation.

From working alongside hundreds of businesses across the visitor economy sector, we know just how difficult it can be to keep on top of changes to the apprenticeship system and that’s where the People 1st Apprenticeship Network can help.

Our work leading apprenticeship reform in our sector gives us unparalleled expertise and insight into businesses' needs and challenges. On behalf of leading employers, we have facilitated the design of 18 apprenticeship standards and assessment plans for our sector to ensure they are fit for purpose and add value to businesses.

We don't deliver apprenticeships, so if you’re looking for impartial, expert support on apprenticeships, you’ll find it here.

What others say

"People 1st have done a fantastic job of successfully bringing employers and the government together to address issues around implementation of the new standards and levy and share best practice. There are many issues to iron out before the levy is introduced and I’m confident that the network will provide significant practical benefits to help employers prepare."

Therese Procter, People Director, Tesco Bank

"People 1st have been at the forefront of thinking on skills development for over 40 years. The apprenticeship network will provide invaluable insight and support to members, who will be in a position to benefit from People 1st’s leadership in the design of the new visitor economy apprenticeship standards. As a company that has employed over 700 apprentices, we believe it is vital to clearly understand all the changes in order to ensure we can get the best from our investment in apprenticeships."
