AA College Restaurant of the Year

Launched in 2016 in partnership between People 1st and AA Hotel Services, the AA College Restaurant of the Year award recognises the hard work of chef lecturers and student brigades that run college restaurants.

Part of the AA’s annual Hospitality Awards, the award gives colleges an unprecedented opportunity to be part of one of the industry’s most prestigious events and put their restaurants well and truly on the map!

The award is only open to People 1st accredited colleges that have also been awarded an AA College Rosette.

And the 2017 winner is...

Academy Restaurant - South Cheshire College!

Academy Restaurant was announced as the winner of the 2017 People 1st-sponsored AA College Restaurant of the Year award at the annual AA Hospitality Awards in London on 25 September 2017.

The South Cheshire College team beat off stiff competition from Avenue 141 at Fareham College and The Brasserie at Milton Keynes College after all three were shortlisted following a jam-packed judging day at Park Plaza Riverbank London.

Congratulations to all three finalists, and a big thank you to all the student and lecturer teams that attended the judging day in June - the quality of entries was incredible and the judges were hugely impressed by the energy and enthusiasm on display. It was a very tough decision!

Details of next year's competition will be available here in early 2018.
