This site for People 1st has been designed and built by Precedent.

Precedent are a communications consultancy who specialise in research, strategy, design, usability and technology. We have been designing and building websites since the very early days of the internet, and over the last 10 years we have pioneered best practice in web design and accessibility. We work for a wide range of clients, including People 1st, Age Concern, Derbyshire County Council and the Improvement and Development Agency.

Whatever the project, we investigate, discover and uncover as much as we can about your organisation, and the people you're trying to reach. Then we work with you to find the best ways to express your organisation more clearly, powerfully and personally.

We give you as much or as little help as you need, depending on what stage you're at. If you aren't completely sure of your own objectives, we can help you come up with a sound strategy first. We can help you think about your information architecture and visual hierarchy, your designs, or how to update and manage your content effectively. We're among the leading experts on usability and accessibility issues. And once it's built, we can even host it for you, and provide ongoing support.
