L&C Consultants was set up in November 2013 after working for a training provider for 15 years as a Regional Director then latterly in a Sales development manager post.
My main role as Sales development manager was to overall responsibility for planning and development of setting up a Retail Skills Shop in the Grampian area. Creating a board from a list of influential stakeholders from retail sector such as John Lewis, Debenhams and the 3 main shopping centre managers in Aberdeen city. Using my Retail knowledge to establishing strong working links to retailers in the Grampian area and training delivery for the city and shire core offers.
I have for the past 2 years been coordinator for the New Enterprise Allowance contract for the Grampian Area for Claverhouse who hold the contact for the North East. My role is to recruit Business people from a wide business sector and train to be mentors and match to people who wish to start their own business.
I have an active part as a business mentor and have mentored many different businesses to successfully starting and still trading after 6 months. Over the years I have developed and managed the operations of businesses, coordinate management of staff, recruitment and training, coaching and mentoring of managers to understand how to gain the best from their staff. Ensured that the promotions and marketing of the company are to the highest standard. I am passionate about Retail and good Customer Service in all sectors and helping develop staff within their roles from manager/owners to new members of staff.
